Why I REVEAL

The day finally came when I could no longer pretend I didn’t know who I was. I had tried all other options…of toning down the amount of love I have within me…of trying to be more of what others needed me to be…of acting as though I didn’t know certain truths about my life and what I needed most because I didn’t want to come off as demanding.

I could feel the wildly alive and loving soul I was on the inside. And what I wanted most was to simply reveal that. I wanted to be integral. To be on the outside what I felt within. I wanted to be whole, real. Transparent.

Revealing the truth of who I am has only been possible because of spiritual community- those ladyloves in my life who can acknowledge with me that the body is sacred, that our spiritual voices as women are tantamount to world change, and that everything becomes possible when we remember we are the love we seek.

I REVEAL because it’s a day when I get to experience and hear what truth you embody. I get to set intentions with you. I get to dance with you and remember together that love is our birthright. I get to watch us transform as we shed yet another pretention of who we think we need to be or should be, and simply reveal the essence of who we are.

Since I was a little girl, I have been compelled by a singular passion to answer this question: “What does spirituality look like for a woman who hasn’t abandoned her own body?”

As many of you know, this inexorable passion led me to earn two theological degrees, to go on two pilgrimages, and to devote two decades of my life unearthing the Divine Feminine.

Ultimately, by finding the voice of the Divine Feminine I also found my own soul-voice, the one buried beneath veils of fear and self-doubt.

What I have desired most is to share my story in a way that might help other women do the same- to find the voice of unfaltering truth and love inside them.

REVEAL: A Sacred Manual For Getting Spiritually Naked is my spiritual memoir and also it’s meant to be a spiritual mentor for women who long, as I did, for a spirituality that empowers them to tell their own stories of the divine, to abandon their fears but never themselves, and to reveal that life of limitless love and possibility their soul-voice wants them to claim.

For me, getting spiritually naked is simply about stripping away those false beliefs that no longer serve us, that hold us back from being the light and love we are at our core- from revealing the truth inside us.

FOCUS: Peace

I am so honored to be a part of Focus: Peace with Robert Thurman, Debbie Ford, Joumana Rizk and many more. We will each be speaking for ten minutes at Noon followed by a five-minute meditation on peace over the course of the next couple weeks.

Peacelights and We, The World are partnering to offer a series of daily tele-seminar phone calls from December 7 to December 21 at Noon Eastern Time. Every day we will gather virtually for 20 minutes to meditate together and be the peace we wish to see in the world. Calls will start with 10 minutes of teaching, followed by 5 minutes of meditation on peace, and prayers for peace in our world. Each call takes place at noon Eastern Time (USA) and will last 20 minutes. The calls are free and will be recorded, so if you can’t make the scheduled time, you’ll be able to listen to them at your convenience, and as Featured speakers include Buddhist writer and co-Founder of the Tibet House Robert Thurman, President of the Global Security Institute Jonathan Granoff, World Peace Prayer Society’s UN Moldow, best selling author, speaker and coach Debbie Ford, former Director of Amnesty International and peace teacher and activist James O’Dea, Co-Founder of Coalition OneVoice and teacher of Integral Spirituality, Kurt Johnson, and many others.
